After the euphoria of a home opening day win then the real chance of an away victory at Wrexham, we were brought back to reality after conceding three goals in the second half. Although Hurst and Briscoe are now back in training, today's game is too early to see them return and they are spared one of the longer coach journeys of the season. It is therefore likely that a very similar line up will be played to the first couple of games with instructions to keep things tight.
Halifax have not had the best of starts losing 3-1 away to Boreham Wood on the opening day of the season and then 0-1 at home to Chester with former TUFC player Jordan Chappell finding the back of the net! So Halifax will be under a fair bit of pressure and should be noted that their only goal so far has come from a penalty. They seem to have signed 9 players over the summer with seven debuting on the first game including one from the bench so a fair bit of gelling required themselves!

If we're going to make any sort of fist of this season, these are the teams we have to be looking at to beat...ie actually worse than us! Halifax only scoring one goal from the spot so far this season (yes I know we are only two games in) should give us the incentive to at least go there with some sort of confidence!
Sadly, I have a feeling we will spend the day hoofing the ball to Quigley, by-pass our midfield, and get a 0:0 draw!

I've just been speaking with the Police (well, they called on me) regarding my pitchfork and flaming torch licence. Came to check that I was still licenced and that they were locked in a sturdy cabinet (which they are).
The Inspector who called, asked when did I think I would be using them next?
"Not too sure officer" I said.
Can anybody help me please?

Nope, don't let a drop of the demon drink pass my lips until the sun is over the yardarm...1700 approx.
Must admit though, the wine you mentioned you were drinking last week, certainly sounds better than the stuff I get from Tesco's!
