A tough game away to the league leaders although we have a two week break after this game and the confidence of a good home win against them earlier in the season. That was the game where Little and Reid combined together so well up front with both scoring a brace and was probably our best performance of the season. Hopefully we do not have any losses on the last day of the transfer window and these two can combine again to good effect. Johnson pre match interview

Cant say I'm looking forward to listening to this fixture. Perform as we did last week and were doomed but we all know there's enough ability in the squad to cause an upset and I feel we play with more freedom away from home. Good signs that we appear to be improving defensively and are looking marginally better with the arrival of Longridge and Warren though our forward potency seems to be suffering as a result. A good time to play them perhaps, they're due a loss and if all of the players turn up we have a chance to get something and would be more than happy with a point.

Getting tired of reading elsewhere about what we need up front when our best form this year had a clever advanced ‘midfielder’ supporting behind Reidy. It’s as if it never happened for some. Janneh’s arrival coincided with our injury crisis, for sure, but we were bloody terrible during that period.

A real test of how much our defence has improved. I don't agree with Pete that our lack of creativity last week was due to us trying to be more solid - I think it was just that we played badly. I feel that if we leave Hall as a one behind a four, we will get found out by Barrow.
The obvious improvement is Warren bossing the defence and I think we benefit from sticking with the same keeper - although MacDonald played well at Tavistock. Also think that a search for a settled backline will see Cundy get the nod over Cameron.
Barrow will not be sitting back, so we may get room to hit them on the break provided we do not get totally overwhelmed - which could happen.
I would go with Little (think he is match-fit enough to start even if he only lasts 70 minutes) and Andrews over Kalala and Nemane.
Many different ways of shuffling the pack of four between Hall and Reid. I would stick Little alongside Hall, play Whitfield right, Andrews left and Evans in the hole - but there are endless variations.
Kalvin to come off the bench and shred them in the last 15 minutes. Or maybe not.

3 at the back. Whitfield and Longridge as wing backs. This should mean Hall will sit deep as a 1 in the diamond and Little advanced. Quite like that with the personnel available. Let’s hope it comes off at the League leaders.

Let’s hope it comes off at the League leaders. Cundy not even in squad. Injured? Nemane preferred to Andrews. That is a more balanced back three than when we played it before. An experienced head conducting operations from the centre and the two either side capable of playing a half centre-back, half full-back role. Two wide men capable of playing a half full-back half winger role. Sounds like Evans alongside Hall, Nemane just ahead and Little pushed up near Reid. Those three may swap roles a bit.

I would go with Little (think he is match-fit enough to start even if he only lasts 70 minutes) 73 minutes Kalala for Little. I was close.

I see Jared came on for his cameo 2 minute appearance and Callum Morton scored the winner for Northampton 😀 Any sign of Tyler? 😀😀

Beaten but not disgraced. Play-offs? No chance. He’s got 2 weeks off League action with whatever squad he may have. Small chance of play-offs is my thinking. Enough of a small chance to still tempt.

Disembarked the play off/promotion bus last week. Nowhere near strong enough at the moment the teams far to unsettled with team changes and different formations from one game to the next. The continuity we had last term has long gone. Season as good as over I just hope we can safely finish this pretty dreadful season safely away from any danger and build something more worthwhile for next seasons challenge though the same problems and obstacles will still be there. The momentum we had last season has gradually dissolved and unless GJ can really pull out some decent signings I fear we will be non league for a very long time. It's only taken Barrow 47 years to launch a serious challenge after all.
