With both teams stuck now in their respective positions of 2nd and 17th there is a lack of pressure on this game although Altrincham will be playing in front of their own fans and will obviously want to finish their season on a high. For us, while we will want to win and there is the small matter of our record for most away wins in a season, this is more of a pre-play-off friendly and gives Johnson the option to have a look at fringe players or experiment with different positions.
For me, a lot of our early season success was built around the pace of Nemane and Whitfield on the wings and Randall complementing Hall in the middle allowing CLE to get forward and support Wright upfront. It would be great if any of those out injured are back for this game even as a substitute as they would then have another 2 weeks to get up to speed for the play offs. May be worth playing Kimpioka on the wing and move Randell back centrally to give us some more pace. Little is playing like Nemane last season, way short of his potential and needs a pre season to find his form. Cameron should make his first start since his injury back where he belongs leaving the luxury of a hard choice for Johnson between Sherring and Lewis.
At least we can watch the stream without worrying about the result and don’t forget the early kick off time!

Nothing to play for here of course…we made damn sure of that!
But to make it somewhat more interesting (oops, sorry I used the ‘I’ word) if Sutton win 3:0 (which they should do without even getting a sweat on) and we draw 0:0 (which we should do because neither team gives a shit about the result) then all of a sudden the whole season becomes interesting a whole new ball game! 🦦

I really should be out in the sun but can't resist a live stream.
Want to win and hope we win, but the important thing is to come through injury-free and red-card-free.
Would love to think Whitfield and Wright could both get twenty minutes in with no adverse reaction. Too early for them?

Cameron in for Boden!
Cameron starting up front? Funnily enough, just rewatched a Cup game with Sutton when Matt Elliot started up front.
Whitfield and Wright not on bench.

I wonder what the problem is with Kimpioka. Yet another injury?

Experimenting with Cameron up top once again don't see that as a good sign regards Danny Wright and still no sign of Ben Whitfield with Benji nowhere to be seen. Anticipate a few changes second half GJ still looking at his best options.

It may well be that Johnson is keeping his cards close to his chest with returning players or they may all be still crocked.
CLE almost scored from a delightful back heel after some good work by Randell but otherwise the quality in the final third has been poor. Would like to see Boden and Waters come on and work in tandem.

Experimenting with Cameron up top once again don't see that as a good sign regards Danny Wright .... or maybe Wright is fit for the playoffs and Johnson has gone with Cameron thinking he can do a better impersonation of Wright’s style than the three forwards on the bench? Seems a strange move but there have been plenty of centre-halves turned into prolific goalscorers. I can’t see Cameron as the next John Charles but you never know. Johnson must have seen something in Cameron training which makes him think he can do a job up there. Not a huge vote of confidence in Boden, Umerah, Waters or Koszela though. Can’t avoid the feeling this is “phoney war”. A meaningless match in the middle of so many really important matches. You can dress it up and try to take it deadly seriously but it is what it is. Andrews seems to be spoiling for a red card. Have a word, someone. Nobody wants those last two playoff places. Five in the race and not one of them winning. Eastleigh look like they have blown it.
