We have to use up a sub to protect Andrews from himself. Waters on wide left.
Glad to see Hall given a rest - Buse on.

Cameron missed a great chance, his touch not good enough for a striker

Experimenting with Cameron up top once again don't see that as a good sign regards Danny Wright .... or maybe Wright is fit for the playoffs and Johnson has gone with Cameron thinking he can do a better impersonation of Wright’s style than the three forwards on the bench? Seems a strange move but there have been plenty of centre-halves turned into prolific goalscorers. I can’t see Cameron as the next John Charles but you never know. Johnson must have seen something in Cameron training which makes him think he can do a job up there. Not a huge vote of confidence in Boden, Umerah, Waters or Koszela though. Can’t avoid the feeling this is “phoney war”. A meaningless match in the middle of so many really important matches. You can dress it up and try to take it deadly seriously but it is what it is. Andrews seems to be spoiling for a red card. Have a word, someone. Nobody wants those last two playoff places. Five in the race and not one of them winning. Eastleigh look like they have blown it. Pretty sure I read a while back that Kyle Cameron started of his career at Newcastle as a front man and was converted to a central defender early on.

Umerah showing why he is not worth a start. Constantly offside.

So we end the season with four straight draws.
Two more will do the job...... as long as we can safely negotiate a couple of penalty shootouts.

Need Notts County and Chesterfield to kick lumps out of each other next week.
Wrexham miss out to Bromley.

Nothing to play for here of course…we made damn sure of that! But to make it somewhat more interesting (oops, sorry I used the ‘I’ word) if Sutton win 3:0 (which they should do without even getting a sweat on) and we draw 0:0 (which we should do because neither team gives a shit about the result) then all of a sudden the whole season becomes interesting a whole new ball game! 🦦 Damn it Mutley! 🤨

Once again we couldn't "find our game" as GJ would say in interview after an indifferent performance. At our best and with a full complement we should normally blow the likes of Altrncham away with ease but historically we have been poor against the lower placed sides.. I know it's a pretty meaningless game but I honestly don't think Garry knows the answers to our lack of threat up front and was experimenting with Cameron again today knowing full well that we lack the cutting edge we had before the new year. Does GJ really know who he can trust?
No sign of the players who made it all possible in the first half of the season. Ben Whitfield has obviously suffered a reaction after his 20 minute cameo against Stockport so sadly I don't think he will feature.. I think we have to now understand that those players will not be featuring having had little or no competitive pitch time in months.
Anything can happen, its all in the air but I really hope we can rediscover "our game", the one we last saw away at Stockport, Sutton and Hartlepool for the big games ahead. Wouldn't swap this ending to the season with Wrexham, Eastliegh or Halifax though would we?

Need Notts County and Chesterfield to kick lumps out of each other next week. Danny Rowe taken off in the first half for Chesterfield. Reeves, Miller and Rodrigues all off injured for Notts.

Had to smile at the 2 min added on, 3 minutes of injury to Altrincham players in the last 10 minutes alone.
Drawn the last 4 games but unbeaten in the last two months, take your pick. Need some players back but having said that, Johnson will not have picked anyone with any doubts over their fitness today for a dead rubber and 2 weeks is a long time to get players back, up and firing on all cylinders.

Won’t have Boden for Chesterfield. Wouldn't worry, we won 2-0 at their place without him earlier this month.

Well after a 0-0 end to the season it was pleasantly therapeutic watching on telly Exeter Chiefs 74-3 romp in the sun against Newcastle Falcons.
Particularly pleasing was the loud crowd noise from the limited number 4000 spectators. I think that is what I have really missed .... a sporting spectacle in silence is just not the same.
I will not be at either the Torquay United or the Exeter Chiefs semi-finals in the coming weeks as at my age I want to be happy that getting back to normality is safe (I am sure it will be but after waiting for 15 months there is no necessity to rush).
Those who are there though enjoy and make some noise for me! ⚽️🏉⚽️
