It should be against the law to describe that as 'Highlights' 😉⚽️

Well after a 0-0 end to the season it was pleasantly therapeutic watching on telly Exeter Chiefs 74-3 romp in the sun against Newcastle Falcons. Did I hear that Henry Slade is refusing to take the jab as he’s ‘well’ looked after by the medical team - apologies if incorrect - if correct - what a prat.

Did I hear that Henry Slade is refusing to take the jab as he’s ‘well’ looked after by the medical team - apologies if incorrect - if correct - what a prat. I am afraid that Henry Slade was naive as despite being well trained at media presentation he fell victim to the gutter press. Journalists are slimy lying creatures and should never be trusted. Henry gave an exclusive interview to the Daily Telegraph which was set up to discuss how he as a top level sportsman and England International copes with living with Type 1 diabetes. During this interview some questions about the covid vaccine formed a very small part of it, but was blown out of all proportion by the sleazy press and his daily challenge of being a professional sportsman with type 1 diabetes hardly got a mention. Henry has said that he is wary because he has had adverse reactions to previous vaccinations, but he never suggested that people do not take the vaccine. He has stated that he has also not said that he will not take the vaccine, but will make an informed choice based on scientific and medical evidence and on taking advice from the club medical team. He is only cautious because he has a serious medical condition which he has to live with and he has had bad experiences with other vaccines. I think we all know that what you may read in the paper cannot be relied on for accuracy - although I have just spotted a post where it suggests that somebody believes what is written on Wikipedia. I am sure he must be teasing! 😉🏉

Let him know that my wife is type 1 and she has had both jabs and is fine. Does he say what the other non Covid jabs were for?

No he didn't say which vaccines Phil / chelston but of course we have all had a few during the course of our life time. I am sure that he will be advised by the club medical team to have it and that he will do as advised. The Wikepedia entry that he is a prominent anti-vaxxer is absolutely absurd. He has only said anything about covid vaccinations once and that was during an interview which was meant to be about something else. Wikipedia is a nonsense system as anybody can add anything, and as we all know some people are just wicked! He is a pleasant grounded chap with lovely parents, used to play at my local club Ivybridge. It is a storm in a tea cup the result of irresponsible but typical underhand press reporting. 🏉
