That match nicely sums up the team and the country…no passion, no pride, nothing! Kneeling down is a sign of submission, why do you think the All Blacks do the Hakka, do you imagine their thinking ‘oh look at me I’m a Woke Ta@ kneeling down’, or could they be thinking, ‘come near me and I’ll kick you over row fu**ing Z!’
The bearded weskit is a total waste of time…useless? If he were to say to the players, if one of you tossers kneels down again you’re out of the team, the whole atmosphere would change. Of course he can’t though, because Little Weasel Boys like Waldorf and Will are there stroking their whiskers and waiting for some easy unsuspecting prey to come along!
So on we will go, the team and the country, Kneeling Woke Wan**rs!

But how do you explain all the s.h.i.t performances over the last 50 years? England have always been s.h.i.t, always will be s.h.i.t, I don't know why but there it is.

But how do you explain all the s.h.i.t performances over the last 50 years? England have always been s.h.i.t, always will be s.h.i.t, I don't know why but there it is. That's a shame, because when I saw that this thread had been created, I thought that here was an opportunity for a sensible discussion about England's chances of progressing in this competition, which players would come to the fore, what tactics and formation would be employed, etc. Already, however, one particular person has leapt at the chance of expressing his usual vulgarity. If nobody is interested, fair enough, as discussion about TUFC will always hold sway on this forum, and rightly so. Still, I have always been as staunch a supporter of the national team as I have been of the local club for the past 67 years, and I strongly disagree that the England team has always been sh1t. In my opinion, over the years they have had a series of world class players who have suffered at the hands of poor and tactically bereft managers, including the current one. Alf Ramsey was a genius, without whom we would not have won the World Cup, and Terry Venables was a fantastic manager who could do nothing about the incredible luck of the Germans in 1996. Apart from those two, all of the other incumbents have been moderate or dire. As a starter, then, my view is that Southgate is far too cautious with his tactics. I can only assume that he has instructed the full backs and holding players to find space, receive the ball and then pass back to the centre backs, and keep that going for a while. I have watched every match and no other team does that. He has said in his interviews that if his team cannot win a match, then they must make sure that they do not lose it. He also plans to include his favourites in the next match, so of course Kane and Sterling will start and Maguire and Henderson will come on at some stage. Why? Mings and Phillips have had outstanding games so far, and Grealish will be a match winner given the chance. With this manager, England may get through another round or two, but that will surely be his last contribution. Sorry, I've rambled, out of frustration. If nobody is interested, fair enough.

I see Hungarian supporters staged a mass demonstration against the taking of the knee before during and after their game against France.
Hungarian spokesmen explained very eloquently that the gesture has got nothing at all to do with racism, but is a form of western Anglo-American bullying of people regarded by the woke West as being inferior.
A point well made and should be considered as worthy of inclusion in any debate on the subject.
Meanwhile in the last couple of days we have seen:
Wales lose and qualify Switzerland win and don't qualify England don't play and qualify.
As the Kinks would say "It's a mixed up muddled up shook up world" 🎶😉⚽️

We’re all interested in what you say Sweedy, the majority of people are interested in what I say, it’s what makes the world interesting. If we all just agreed with each other we’d have a world full of people like Waldorf and Will…now that would be bad Karma! I know I’m abrupt and always seem to add a touch of ‘vulgarity’ to my posts, but that’s what makes me an individual and that’s what I’m like in every day life. I have blocked Will because there is absolutely nothing in his posts, in fact he’s like a yogurt without any fruit…tasteless! I did though see one of Will’s posts though because it’s attached to your post. He asks why England are so shit…the answer of which I have given many times if he bothered to look. 👀

Woo Hoo we’ve done it…got through to the next round! I didn’t realise how difficult the teams in this section were going to be, because we only scored two goals in three games and still topped the table!
We are now playing a game called ‘it’s a knockout’ and will be dressed up as clowns and kneeling down all over the place in the first game. 🤡 We are playing teams like Germany and Spain, and one wit has said that it will be like a three week old Bushbaby with Glaucoma taking on Mike Tyson…knowing nothing about football, I’m not sure what said wit is saying. 🤔
Whoever we take on, I will be glued to the sofa (that’s the only way they’d keep me there) for the next riveting goal fest! 🦧

Front page of today's Daily Mail has the headline "Rampant Lions roar into Euros last 16" . Surely if anyone needs proof that that rag is little more than tomorrow's bog paper that is it.

You have admitted that you know nothing about football, which is palpably obvious anyway, so in future could you please confine your comments to threads on the Plopside, which I no longer look at. Being the reasonable fellow you are, I'm sure that you will accede to this reasonable request, so that the rest of us can exchange views on our football club and other football matters in a peaceful and sensible manner. Thanks in anticipation.

So Germany at Wembley it is. Looking at the side of the draw we are in we have a good route should we win. Belgium, Italy, France, Spain all in the other side of the draw. Feels like 2018 all over again. But this time…..It’s coming home. Maybe.
Defensively we are sound. 4-2-3-1 appears the favoured method. My guess for the next round is the same formation with the following personnel:-
Pickford
Walker Stones Maguire Shaw
Henderson Phillips
Grealish Foden Sterling
Kane
That said, I felt Saka had a good game, and I very much like Sancho. And Rice and Myngs haven’t done anything wrong. Good to have options.

Well we know what we have to avoid ... bloody penalties .... 1990 and 1996 England the best team but lost to Germany on pens; Now 2021 Torquay the best team but lost on pens. I couldn't go through it twice in a couple of weeks otherwise my neighbours German car is toast! 😉⚽️
