Fantastic game tonight between Italy and Belgium. What the game is all about. Great stuff. Reckon those Italians might run us close in the Final.

Suddenly England are now the highest ranked team left in the tournament….. Italy has gone 32 games undefeated now and won the last 13. If we get to the final I think we would have a better chance against Spain 🇪🇸 🇮🇹

For me, Italy have been the best and most entertaining side on show this tournament. A pleasure to watch.

It was a good game. That Olazabal missed a couple of costly absolute sitters for Spain, who I thought looked slightly the better side on balance. Good to see the Italian defence breached. Floodgates opened nicely for Sunday. 😉

Best team won, end of. Italians were superb throughout the tournament and, apart from the first 35 mins last night, were the better team last night. This morning we hear about the inevitable moronic behaviour of a minority of England 'fans' at the stadium last night and the racist abuse received by Rashford, Saka and Sancho. Shamful and embarrassing.

It is such a pity that the excellent performance of the England football team in getting to the final of the European Championship, has been completely over shadowed by the inane behaviour of so called 'supporters'.
Every national anthem of teams we were playing was booed, drunken mobs tried to force their way into the stadium, drunken mobs across the country caused damage and violently attacked other nationalities, and bizarrely knuckle heads picked on our own players with racist abuse directed at those who were unfortunate enough to miss penalty kicks.
What an absolute nonsense! The players who missed the penalties were playing for England. They are English! The same as those hurling the abuse.
Hopefully though there will be a positive side and that the views of right minded people (which is the majority) will have some affect going forward.
There should be prosecutions and banning orders, but as the perpetrators are hate filled morons they will probably wear such sanctions as a badge of honour!
We just do not seem to make any progress. It was over 40 years ago that Viv Anderson and John Barnes were getting abuse on the football pitch. I suppose the issue is how to change the overall mind set of ignorant bigots who have no desire or intention of changing their attitude.
21st Century UK seems a very strange and frustrating place to be.

A very sad state of affairs Stefano and reflects the countries current divided nationalistic political climate. Its the Blame Culture we now have where someone needs to be held to account - just as long as they're black they will feel justified. Football is a ready made and convenient outlet for the morons to vent their frustrations and extremist views fueled by leaders who openly give license before having to back track and publicly condemn the behaviour of a minority. Im disgusted and ashamed as thankfully the majority are by what we've witnessed these past few weeks. This country is slipping dangerously to the flag waving right, many seem to think were fighting a war. If your foreign or black then you need to be on your guard. Our country is no longer the welcome open country we once knew. A reaction to being too open perhaps a legacy of our imperialist past. Brexit and Covid - a recipe for division and a potentially dangerous blame culture that's flourishing. Football and the obscene scenes we have all witnessed is a reflection of our society. We must not be passive about this and we should all be on our guard.

You wouldn't think it on this forum judging by the way posters talk about football with each other in a civilised and mature manner, but unfortunately football , in this country at least, has a yob mentality culture that is not seen in other sports. Take Stefano's rugby. That sport has a huge drinking culture behind it but I have never seen a badly behaved rugby crowd no matter how much alcohol they consume in the bars and stands. I know some people might say that is because rugby has a middle class following and football is a working class game, but those distinctions are eroding nowadays. It seems to me that some people, a minority perhaps but a pretty loud one, just allow themselves to morph into Danny Dyer wannabes when it comes to football. It's part of the games culture we could all do without, but it is that that leads to the booing of national anthems, the racial abuse of their own players, and the sense of entitlement that makes them think they can break into a football stadium without tickets.
