what are your thoughts on the manner in which Buckle has settled for Hargreaves at centre back?.......... Hargreaves is nigh on 37, and at the end of last season he looked jaded and shot. At Wembley he looked 137 to me and to be honest I think he was overused through necessity at a part of the season when we were struggling. Maybe Bucks has said to him "if you can adapt to playing at the back, maybe you can get another two years at this level"This is a tried and trusted way for class players at lower division clubs and I well remember 30 years ago we visited York City who featured international forward Peter Lorimer as sweeper, and we had Bruce Rioch playing the same role for us - both old heads on shot to bits legs! I would take Greavsie extending his Plainmoor career this way, wouldn't you? (1) ................and don't you reckon the way Histon play would seriously examine ANY central pairing? (2) (1) To be honest, not on his performance on Saturday. Also, the central midfield options we have this year mean that Hargreaves would not necessarily need to be flogged to death as he was last year. Maybe Buckle wanted to rest him last year, but looked around only to see Hockley. We are stronger this year. The players of the past that you highlight had an ability to read the game, which made up for their lack of pace. That was one of CH's main faults on Saturday. But, like I have said this is based on one game only. It may have been a one off. (2). Again, no. If our centre halves can't cope with a couple of big fellas and a direct style then we have no hope of getting out of this league. It was the Histon forwards inability to make the most of indecision in our ranks which stopped them scoring. Better players would have punished us. Buckle must think the current set up can be improved as he would not otherwise have gone for Johnson.

0-1 HT and not very promissing by all accounts. The dreaded long ball being deployed again according to radio reporter.

It sounds as though we are no way near that at the moment. Im going to stay positive that we can turn this around but I admit that im worried.

Reminence of the first half of last season. We come out with a storming second half into the home end. Hopefully we'll get some match reports in the next couple of hours or so.

yes..great goal by Benyon..Merse will be so pleased ;D Merse is pleased........of course he is, we know the lad can finish - when he can wriggle free to do so, and Capitalgull tells me he managed to use his "body strength" to hold off the defender! Sounds like a belief in their own ability came to the fore in the second half, and as ever with OUR crowd it's not hard to lose that faith with all the moaning and groaning that emanates from the Popside. Let's push on from here as "mighty" Stevenage have let three more in tonight and lost at home to Eastbourne and "too big for this league" Oxford ;D have gone tits up once more getting beaten 0-1 at home.

Another point. Do you think with these new floodlights that the crowd might have even been able see what was happening at both ends of the ground
