You can always come and stand with me ali I had words with the guy who I believe now plays the drum, he is the same guy who has the big flag that passes over us.I don't mind the flag to much, we do not have much choice but I take the view I should just get into the spirit of it. The flag had only moved a short way as someone was holding onto it at the back of the stand, it was over my head for ages, he then started shouting up to someone,, let it go you F***ing W***er, he then got even more angry and shouted it out again. He was right in front of me and I asked him if that was any way to speak to fellow fans, he just swore again and said yes their just F***ing W***ers. With that the flag went no further and I thought what a nice man.

I didn't enjoy watching the crap that was served-up by the players last night, but not as much as hearing the brainless idiots hurling crap at the team DURING the match.
Good on anyone who had a go at anyone that is stupid enough to think in any way tht they are bein anything but harmful to the performances on the pitch. I've fallen out with a few people on the Popside - most recently against Eastbourne or Stevenage when a group of idiots were jeering Dsane. I don;t believe tat he is cnsistently good enough for this club and wouldn't be disappointed to see him leave in the summer, but for christ's sake getting on his back makes the situation worse.

thanks Dave I might just do that! Just make sure you stand behind the rails, I don't think the stewards like people standing in front talking to me

About 15 mins before the end I turned to these ****** and politely told them to SHUT UP (not) and then had to endure 10 mins of being called a 'badger' (two stripes on my coat - really intelligent) and that I obviously did not have a husband or children because I was a woman at the football. It is a good job I am a tough old bird and have fairly broad shoulders but I did feel a bit better when Hayden and Co chipped in and also appreciated the couple of teenage lads who came up to me afterwards and said 'Good on you for standing up to those morons'. There , in a nutshell Ali; you have identified the difference between fans (fanatics) and supporters................ Fans who feel they have to go to the extreme to demonstrate their "loyalty to the cause" and supporters who do very real work and therefore have no need to do so because they know in their hearts that they play their full part as supporters by getting involved in very real matters like the day to day running of the trust. A woman on her own in a crowd being singled out for intimidation and abuse is what the stewards should be dealing with as a matter of priority and one would hope that as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors (Simon Baker) AND prominent members of the Trust (Hayden Jones for example) choose to view their football from the Pop, they will take a pro-active stance in the non active stance of the stewards in such a situation. I keep saying there is a nasty undercurrent to some of the abuse that is emanating from some of our fanatics (and I choose that description carefully here) abuse from people who cannot deal personally with any disappointment whatsoever, who feel they must greet anything but being ahead at the half time and full time whistle with booing, people who week in and week out single out individual players for abuse (Dsane and Carlisle two perfect examples), abuse every referee the first time that official makes a decision they do not understand and abuse anyone who points out their moronic behaviour. That's a whole lot of abuse in my book when just one example of it should be enough to receive a warning from the stewards and any repeat an ejection. Don't let these morons spoil your Plainmoor experience Ali, a good supporter is worth ten of any idiot fanatic!

He's always supportive of the team, not one of the booing morons. On this occaion I think his description of the people holding onto the flag was pretty apt as they were attempting to tie his flag to the barrier, which they thought was hilarious! They are the very same idiots who were giving Ali abuse! (The Buckle out brigade from earlier in the season). I heard the badger chants but didn't know what or who they were about. Good on you Ali for standing up to these louts!

As long as you and I only put our tongues in our own cheeks we'll be OK Rob. Seeing as you "get it on my account" you can transfer some Euros into my account then! ;D Merse, Don't you worry about my tongue, even though it's almost Valentine's Day The Euro stays in my pocket though I must admit changing it for Pounds is a good deal.

'I keep saying there is a nasty undercurrent to some of the abuse that is emanating from some of our fanatics'
To be honest I think 'nasty' is the right word.
I did make myself a bit of a target though by standing up to them but it is frustrating enough watching the football let alone listening to them, it makes me so angry and really I should try not let these jumped up twits wind me up.
I noticed they soon shut up when other people told them to shut up.
The thing is when the team are doing well these lads are the most vocal and really add to the atmostphere so I just wish they could see that they would be a great help in getting the crowd going when the team need it. Wasting my breath there though, they are obviously quite aggressive and they are not going to see sense.
Sorry waffling on a bit, but it has made me feel a lot better with your support, thanks for that must admit it did make me feel intimidated but have tried to rise above it.
Anyway I will be there Saturday and lets hope we can get our team going and see a few goals which is what we all want.

I got a bit over protective earlier, I`ve had time to calm down and realize what I said was probably stupid, I apologies to the forum sincerely! I`m not very happy with the knobs that were having a go at Ali and will find it difficult not to say something to them when I see them again, but I will try to restrain myself! It doesn`t help matters when your daughter is searched on the way in, we play crap and its f*ckin freezing, I was seething all night and woke up really angry. Need to address a possible anger management issue me thinks!

Well 200miles to Plainmoor as a birththday treat to myself with an overnight stay with a relative in the Bay and 200miles back home again. Set off on Tuesday as soon as the game was confirmed 'on' quietly hopefull for a good game, not being as easy as some thought. Stood on the pop side as usual and expectations for the 2nd half were good when the subs were announced , the second half started and the crowd 'woke up'. However.... I'm quite optimistic about Christie, not too much been said about him on here but when match fit he'll prove a handfull and will start scoring. He looked positive, was turning the defenders and should come good But when are we going to get the rub of the green ( not a pun) , that lucky break other than off a backside at Lewes,.....a result from a corner or free kick?
My last have been Wembley, Woking (H) Crawley (away) Eastbourne (away) Lewes (away) & Weymouth (H) I think I should just jump from Corbyn's Head and be done with it.
