Anyone see the programme on last night (BBC$) on Lindisfarne founder, the late and great Alan Hull. If you missed it watch on catch up, brilliant hour.

Awful that the BBC made groups and solo singers mime the songs. The drummer had his sticks no nearer the drums than a foot, and one of the guitarists was just stood there looking around!
Nothing changes at the BBC!

Nothing changes at the BBC! There was a bamd in the 70's (Clash or Stranglers I think) who took the strings out of their guitars.

Can you remember the Piranhas drummer, stripped to the waist, played using a pair of plastic fish as drumsticks. I think he was called Slexia Dick? Happy days...

On the theme of miming, Hammond organ and drum kit not too convincing on this one.

RIP Mike Nesmith of The Monkees. (30/12/42-10/12/21) I don’t wish to be negative here, but for some singers it’s fine to continue singing until they leave ‘ This Mortal Coil’, whilst others should have stopped a long time ago. Sadly, Mike Nesmith falls under the latter.

I’ve never heard this song before, and never will again, I think it’s bloody awful…but appropriate. 🦦
