Queen II as I convert another old bit of vinyl to MP3 Andy how are you getting on with that new deck? do you find it easy and does the software allow you to take out or reduce crackles etc.

I think it's really good. It comes with 2 software programs. A simple recording bit with no opportunity to remove anything and a program called Audacity which has all sorts of bits to make changes and whilst I struggle to appreciate all of the bits it can do the results on the vast majority of my transfers to date give me good quality sound on my ipod. As far as I am concerned therefore a great birthday present! Of course along with a little attention to detail you need patience to get things right. As you know that is not necessarily my strongest suit ;D ;D ;D

Great glad you are getting on with it so well, thats where we differ, I pull programs apart so as to be able to do everything Its meant too.
Its just the way I am, but don't be afraid to click on this or that, once you fully understand some programs, you really discover their power.I have had a huge learning curve setting up and running the forum, but playing around has in the end got what I think is now a very good set up on here.

Yet again, "Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels" has been on my telly for the umpteenth time. I'm just addicted to this sordid tale filmed mainly on location around the grungiest parts of Dalston, Hackney and Bethnal Green. My mate Don was hanging around one of the locations (his brother's shop) watching things progress when Guy Ritchie realised he would make a great member of that gang of black guys who all died in the shoot out, and thus Don the bus driver became Don the bit part actor who has since made three separate character appearances in Eastenders as well as loads of other cameo roles in varying TV and film jobs. Although he bollocked me up hill and down dale for splitting with my ex wife, he's always been there for me when I've needed "someone to have a word" on my behalf, and did an 18 carat job when my former girl friend's old man decided to inform me that my life span was approaching it's finite limit! He can still be seen at the wheel of the no 25 - Ilford to Oxford Circus "Bendy Bus" too - I just hope that poor old traffic warden doesn't exact his revenge on him! ;D

And to think Merse the only part you ever got to play was On The Buses, I can still hear those words to this day " I hate you Mersey" ;D Well how wrong can you be? If you ever get the chance to see a repeat * of my show stealing performance in "Night Fever" with Suggs, Helen Chamberlain, Vanessa Feltz, Audley Harrison, Cecil and Linda Womack and a few others have a butchers. A little appearance too, on "Row Z" done on location in a Kings Cross wine bar with Mark Bright immediately after the FA Cup tie at QPR ...............I do believe Crooky and Buts were in that too. * If you do spot a repeat of Night Fever, I'll cut you in on 10% of the repeat fee I've got in the contract I still hold!
