Dave, why don't we organise a TFF train trip to Totnes after Christmas? A nice trip on the train and a nice breakfast to boot. Then a nice walk into Hippyville for a few pints......

One of the only complete set of trains 'spotted', the mighty Warship, which were introduced in 1958 weighing 70 tons - all 19 spotted. The diesels then, seemed to the young boy I was, as having great character. seem to recall that Swindon was the main graveyard for trains on route for London. As you can see 2 were cabbed - happy days. Being a Newton Lad brought up the 70's you are well aware of my dangerous attraction to diesel trains. The good news is that after a quick look around the house and with Christmas presents hidden everywhere finding my "Ian Allen Combined Volume 1976 " and "Loco shed" may have to wait until the new year, whatch this space. In my book; C=cabbed Cr=cab ride PB=pulled by R= ?? (namer only)

Found this photo taken at Dartmouth during the summer, of the Tornado. I think this was the train in which the Top Gear folk raced from London to Edinburgh along with a car and motorbike.
