Looking at the photos of Euuuunan it would be hard to imagine such a mere stripling made up of sinew, skin and bones can hit the ball so bloody hard and accurately! It's been said many times now on the TFF but he is such an incredibly talented player. I would encourage anyone to watch him as much as possible while you can - surely this lad is going to rise upwards very soon. Interesting comments from Bucks from the .com site: "The money from a Cup run is massive and I will sit down with the chairman to work out a plan for going forward, and there are lots of things that need to improve. Our training ground is not up to standard at the moment and there is so much to improve." It is heartening to hear. I'm not convinced that Bucks will be off to Rovers this week, I think that improvement of training facilities is vital to further progression as a professional football club. Today's result shows again the fine line between progression and stagnation. You don't need to be sixteen stone in weight to get power into a football as it is really more to do with tecneick. I think the first picture illustrates the point perfectly and you can see not only O'Kanes body shape, but the fact he keeps his head down low over the ball. The last time Paul Buckle was linked to a club and it looked almost certain he was going, the next thing that happened was he sat down with the chairman and asked where the club was going and got his playing budget increased. The messages on .com seem to indicate Paul Buckle is going nowhere and yet there are still strong messages coming from some you would think would know, that it is a done deal. Some fans who might be a bit cynical might say that Paul Buckle is using the Rovers situation as a lever to get the playing budget increased a bit. The board most certainly want to hold onto their manager and now might have to increase the playing budget.Who knows? well we all will hopefully on Tuesday when and if Rovers announces their new manager.

That, my friends, is why watching football at our level is so wonderful... Because days like yesterday are special and not just the expected norm...

4-4-2 Plus play O'Kane and put Mansell back in midfield. I think that met the wishes of all the fans comments prior to the match and no wonder it was so well supported yesterday!

What a pulsating game that was. I am not sure what formation we played to be honest - don't think it was a standard 4-4-2, but whatever if Buckle got his tactics wrong against Oxford he sure made up for it yesterday. Mansell for me is wasted at full back - he has always been a central midfielder and he made all the difference. O'Kane looked better pushed out wide. Thought we deserved it on our second half showing - don't know why but I was convinced that Carlisle were going to equalise in injury time - probably because there was so much money riding on the result. My man of the match was Zebroski - astounding work rate and running power. Just got into the ground in time to catch the female singer and her air guitar routine with Gilbert the Gull - thought she was excellent and it was all very entertaining. Who was the bloke with the microphone? thought he did a good job as well. I am suprised that the ref hasn't come in for more criticism - I thought he was an absolute disgrace. He ponced around giving the impression that he could not be arsed and must have given ten times more free kicks to Carlisle than he did tio us. At one stage in the first half Benyon was clattered in the back near the half way line on the grandstand side. Predictably he gave sod all - he was actually looking the other way at the time. Such laziness and arrogance was unforgivable - especially with so much riding on the game for both sides.

Got to agree with you Meerkat, the Ref was that bad I could have sworn he was delibrately cheating! He got panned big time by the crowd at the end and deservedly so, that was the same mug that we had in the conference and he was just as bad then, just how he got promoted to the league I just don`t know. If we had lost that because of him I recon he wouldn`t have got out of the car park in one piece, he would have been found swinging from the big tree outside the school!

It wasn't just commented on the TFF - Branston himself gave special praise to the ground team for the quality of the pitch (a great interview as well): www.carlisleunited-mad.co.uk/roll/ed15/reaction_from_torquays_guy_branston_617854/index.shtmlCouldn't believe that Branston has never made the 4th round - always thought that he had least a few seasons in the Championship and was at Sheff Wednesday. He has been a revelation - going from being a pantomime villain by being boo'd doing a half time draw by some half-wits (possibly a stick to beat Bucks with as Hargreaves was on his way-out?) to being someone that I consider to be a talisman in the same way that Sills was for us in the BSP and Wes was back in the '91 promotion season. He offers more to the team when he is on the pitch than just being a solid defender. EDIT: Oops - I got was typing but was interupted to the above is basically a link to the site register put-up!
