What is the parking like?? Is there a car park at the ground or possible parking in the streets surrounding the ground?? Or park near the town and catch a tram in?? Went there with friends to see Wolves in the League Cup a couple of seasons ago. Parking in the industrial estate on the NW side of Attercliffe Road (Clay Street, Brompton Road, etc) was easy enough but we then made the silly mistake of heading home along the A6178 to Junction 34. That's not wise because that's the direction of Rotherham where most people are heading!! In that sense think twice about the exit route - either the A630 to J33 (which may still carry Rotherham traffic) or the A57 to J31. Tram from Sheffield city centre certainly has its merits. From memory I think it's largely an off-road dedicated track which isn't subject to traffic hold ups like the section near Hillsborough. Mind you, my knowledge of Sheffiled is probably based upon a time nearer that of the old trams rather than the present ones.... Thanks Nick, didn't even think about my escape route out afterwards. Quite fancy the idea of a Tram, we caught a Tram in from Altrincham to Manchester and then a Train out to Macclesfield when we played them and thought it made the day far more enjoyable.

I was thinking of organising a planned pitch invasion on Saturday (can't be that hard can it ), but having seen footage of the Don Valley Stadium, by the time the likes of myself, Stu, Jon & Phil etc make our way down the stand, over the barrier, get to the running track, cross the running track, cross the steeplechase track and long jump pit, then get onto the pitch...... the players will be on the bus ;D

re: car parks - as I don't have a car I can't help with that. The tram is a great option - at least every 10 minutes, takes about 10-15 mins to the ground from town (if memory serves) and from town to the ground is on a dedicated line so no dangers of being delayed by traffic.
For anyone that is heading up it sounds like a group of Gulls will be meeting in the Devonshire Cat from about midday - it is on Wellington Street, Devonshire Green (postcode S1 4HG for those needing it for sat navs or google maps etc). It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station.

Only a day to go now! I have just re-read the match reports of our home match with Rotherham where they looked a good strong side and certainly outplayed us in the second half. At the time they were challenging for an automatic place and we seemed to be heading to mid table obscurity! However, since that game, that have only won once, taking nine points from 12 matches and something has gone really wrong there! Contrast that with 24 points from our 13 subsequent matches with only one defeat and you can see how our positions have so drastically changed! Still going to be really nervy tomorrow!

Sooner be playing Rotherham than Barnet or Lincoln. Strange how we have efectively relegated both of these clubs from the football league in the past. Been here before though and with a number of permutations, the most likely of which will see us in the playoffs. It reminds me of the last day nightmare scenario played out In Essex when the least likely set of results would see us relegated from League one. Confident and full of optimism that day to, none of us could believe it when all of those unlikely results and events actually materialised . The team just didn't turn up and every other, "impossible" result went against us. Gonna be different tomorrow I'm certain of that and one thing you will never be able to accuse a Paul Buckle side of is not being motivated and any pressure will be self induced as we are in a win win situation as firstly nobody expected us to be there including ourselves and even if we don't make it through the next three four games staying in League two ( Div 2 South) would not be the end of the world.
