It may be Valentines day but there will be no love lost at the top of the table with ourselves (4th) playing the league leaders, Swindon (5th) v Crawley (2nd), Gillingham (10th) v Southend (3rd) on Monday and even Shrewsbury (6th) having a tough match against a resurgent Bristol Rovers! Even further down the table, Burton are at home against Rotherham and Crewe host Accrington leaving only Oxford and Port Vale playing lower table opposition in the form of Dagenham and Bradford respectively. Of course, a load of draws could keep things as they were but our results against the top sides could be the difference between the play offs and getting automatic promotion and Cheltenham are a side that I feel we have a chance of finishing above come the first week in May. Cheltenham's surge up the table to the top started before our run and although they have hit a small sticky patch I still think this is a team bang on form! I was quite impressed with their side at Plainmoor and we were playing well then but not as well as now! Their last home game was against Bristol Rovers who won 0-2 and since then they have had three away games winning at Macclesfield but losing at Crawley last Tuesday and then drawing at Hereford yesterday so probably as good a time as any to play them. Top scorer for the club with 12 goals is Darryl Duffy who was signed from Bristol in the summer and was most probably let go by Buckle whose mistake was to start afresh (similar to 2007 Torquay) as opposed to building on some of the quality at the club. Next up with eight goals is our old friend Kaid Mohamed, another player Buckle maybe had the opportunity of signing but let slip through the net. Fellow striker Spencer has hit 7 and with this trio all playing on Saturday, will represent a lot of the scoring threat! Although Tai played well yesterday I am hoping that Howe will be fit as I think he represents a more direct threat on goal although he himself hasn't scored for some time. Otherwise, the team picks itself with Saah slotting back into defence and keeping another clean sheet!

looking forward to this one,but if you read cheltenhams forums their fans definitely are not, infact they are worried about playing us,good news that.We are the form team and cheltenham are on a bit of a wobble, but of course that doesnt give us a given right to expect to win on tuiesday, nothing short of hard work and concentration will do. Up front for us will be interesting, atieno has done well and maybe deserves to keep his place, but as rob says howe is more natural goal scorer,a little problem for lingy to make a decision on there. Our support will be absolutely vital on tuesday,i expect a good vocal following for this one and the boys deserve it. I have thought for quite a while we are a more dangerous side on the break, tuesday could well be an opportunity to prove that right. A big problem arisen for us now, atieno has been called up for the kenyan squad reporting tomorrow 13th feb in preparation for the world cup qualifier against togo at the end of the month oops

Hi, please be aware junction 11 on the M5 is closed all this week from 7pm to 6am, use 11a, you can use junction 10 to go to the ground along the Tewkesbury road, but you cannot go back this way as that junction is north bound only when exiting Cheltenham.

The next three away games are really going to show us where we are, Cheltenham, Gillingham and Crawley - I´ll be very happy with four points from these three games with the three pointer coming at Crawley!

Latest news from dot com is that Howe is fit and Ling has a selection headache between him and Atieno. Lathrope did pick up a slight knock at the weekend but is expected to be fit for tonight.
Cheltenham have defender Elliot and midfielder Penn as doubts tonight on the injury front!

Must be getting close to some sort of record for consecutive wins. With each game I keep thinking, "ah well fabulous run but surely we wil get beat this time around" With each game this magnificent bunch prove me wrong. Wont be shocked if it does end tonight we are after all playing one of the best in the division. A hard one to predict with so much belief in the camp and I am certain the players will all want to keep this run going.

So Taiwo not on his way to and from the motherland then Nope, seemed a long time off for one match though....... Going to be tough tonight and that darn magpie that keeps following me around today isn't helping matters either! ;D However, a win tonight coupled with a home game against Bradford and then away to Gillingham who are stuck in a poor run of form could see us with a serious chance of challenging for this. Not that many of our players are unfamiliar with holding a Torquay record.

I take it we've got 4-4-2. Was it an injury for Lathrope or a tactical change? I assume it was the former as it was quite early. Hope it's not too serious
We are 1-0 up, though, and Crawley are losing, so we're currently sitting 3rd, on the same points as the top 2
