"...our Chairman, Uncle Clarke, has already volunteered to self-isolate himself from Plainmoor." I hadn't realised that coronavirus started four years ago. Well ahead of the game he is! More cases today in Torbay and they seem to be getting ever closer to home.

link - article on Devonlive about Exeter City now not interacting with the fans or indeed shaking hands with their opponents. Sensible precautions that are being replicated in the business community and hopefully at TQ1.

The virus certainly started long before the Chinese let the world know about it! That is so; it's called covid-19 because this strain was discovered in 2019. What is more it has been found that some people living near it's site of origin had developed anti bodies that resist the virus, meaning it has been about for sometime.

These things mutate seemingly, and grow into something even more horrible...had a similar experience when I picked up a girl in the Golden Butterfly many years ago, and she had mutated overnight...scared the shit out of me the following morning! A former Scottish social worker (Professor somebody) says if this virus does take hold at least it will wipe out so many people there won't be a bed shortage in the NHS...swings and roundabouts eh.

Shelves well stocked in Sainsbury’s bar bog rolls and wipes And Tesco’s in Newton Abbot, can’t vouch for the bog roll situation.

Shelves well stocked in Sainsbury’s bar bog rolls and wipes And Tesco’s in Newton Abbot, can’t vouch for the bog roll situation. 133 have died in Italy in the last day alone, the thought of which is enough to loosen anyone’s bowels...... However, once the initial panic subsides, I can see this particular commodity being restocked fairly quickly. Demand may have spiked but usage is fairly constant. We are around 3 weeks behind Italy on the infection rate curve, they were in the hundreds only in the third week of February. That was enough to infect a lot of people during half term and bring it back to Torbay. I can see the Easter Holidays being extended and April could be the crunch month for the UK which is of course the final month of the football season....

I hope they terminate all matches in this country as well!
My poultry bet was never going to be a winning bet after us losing nearly ten games on the bounce mid season!
At least I should get my stake back.

Register If you staked your cash just by betting on success for Torquay, you probably regret putting all your eggs in one basket

So, all of Italy is shut down...schools shut-all sporting activities cancelled-no travel permitted...I could go on! America has banned shit loads of people from shit loads of countries from going there, and what do we do...nothing!
Everything to carry on as normal and we are all going to be protected by something called 'Herd Immunity!'
When will this open door policy end...first of all we let mass immigration happen, where the majority of immigrants want to murder us in our beds, and now we let all and sundry come in to sneeze on us and put us in an early grave!
Where is the shaking-head smilly thing?

Register I did see that same survey at the time Reg, but not sure how big the sample was, or how reliable. In any case didn't it only relate to specific circumstances .... the UK banning Halal meat, or officially insulting the Prophet ? You might remember better than me. Personally I didn't take it too seriously, after all there's always one group or another we'd like to murder in their beds ( Leeds fans, TUST Militants, BMW owners .... in my case ) It's also worth remembering that in some big cities such as Birmingham, different groups comprising of, or considered 'immigrants', such as Pakistanis and Indians, more often than not take their aggression out on each other, rather than bothering the rest of us. As long as more recent arrivals recognise that we old Brexit voters are entitled to the last pack of loo roll in times of shortage, peace and harmony should continue to reign in my view. Back on topic and didn't Donald do well ? Kept it up his sleeve, and made sure no one tipped off the Open Borders fanatics of the EU that they were well and truly grounded .... until he announced it on TV !!. Putting the welfare of his own people first, by preventing Italians going over to cough and sneeze over Floridagull. If that isn't Statesmanship what is ? Keep warm and keep safe, but even in times like this try to remember there's always a Militant waiting around the corner just itching to holler 'Hate Speech' at the top of his voice, should he sniff an opportunity. The 'No Platformers' will get us soon enough, but no need to hasten the day
