After our great win against Histon, we can go into this match full of confidence of getting a good win, to round off what I hope will be a great Xmas for all the fans.
I would expect to see the same starting line up that was used against Histon. I know some feel Dsane did not have his best game, but he put his chances away against Histon and I feel deserves to start the Weymouth game.
With no New Years Day game now, I expect we will see a good number of our fans at this game, if they can make half the noise that the popside made, during the second half against Histon, then it should be a really great atmosphere.

Yes an unchanged side for me please. I'm not Dsane's biggest fan but he is a bit more solid defensively than Carayol or god help us Stevens( I know he's not a left sider).
Very much looking forward to this game and I really hope Green gets a goal as this will really set him of.
Look forward to seeing you all there. I'll look out for the yellow trail along the Jurassic coast.

Danny Stevens will never have much of a physical presence but he is still a valuable member of the squad. Offensively he offers a lot, 3 goals in 2 starts recently, good close skill and good vision to open up defences etc. I agree against particularly physical opposition it's probably not a good idea to play him or to use him as an impact player later on.
The main point I would like to make is that virtually ALL the squad this season have played their part in our success and should be respected for that. Many are unlucky not to be having many games e.g. Stevens, Thompson, Robertson and Ellis. Unlike Histon yesterday, I have confidence this season that even with some injuries or suspensions, we can still be as strong. There are only 2 players I can think of who have not made a positive contribution and they are Brough and Adams. In fairness to them, they have had very little chance to shine.

Yes, each player has made a contribution to our progress so far this season and it is a case of "horses for courses". I'm not a huge fan of Dsane, but yesterday showed that he was more confident and with a run of games he can really cause problems for the opposition.
I'm disappointed not to be around for the match because I feel that after a month since our last BSP win (which is only 3 BSP matches!!) it is important to get that "winning buzz" about the team.
I would be surprised if there were any changes to the team at all assuming everyone remains injury-free.
That said, the players who are not in the starting line-ups have a massive incentive to slog their guts out in training as Bucks will change things about when he sees fit. That couldn't be said of the same squad last season when Hinshellwood, Mullings, Wring, Bedeau and Hill were pretty much only involved when the "first choice" was injured or suspended.
Because of the options, no-one knows who might force their way into the team in a months time.

Although I certainly agree with the above I am just wondering if there is any mileage in resting a couple of players and utilising our squad a bit more?
For example, is Hargreaves going to give two optimum performances within 48 hours? Maybe a fresh Thompson with a point to prove could play in the Weymouth match and save Hargreaves for Kiddi. Also Hodges or Woods could be rested with either Ellis or Robertson being more than able deputy's!
Although the New Year day's game has been postponed, we have got two very tough matches against Blackpool and Burton on the 3rd and 6th of January and we need to be at our very best for them.

It seems we may have 1000 fans at the game and that would be a real achievement when you think we are not getting many more than 2000 for home games.Due to other commitments I won't be able to attend the game myself, but I'm sure there will be some great match reports to read as usual.
One thing for sure the players of Weymouth will be pleased to play to a decent size crowd in their own ground for a change and the owner will be happy counting the days takings.

Heard there should be about 1000 Torquay fans there, would be nice too see. I'll be making the pilgrimage up the road with Nick, Graham, Lisa and my Dad.

 I've decided to drive down to the match tomorrow and will be bringing TB1  and my kids. So it'll be up at seven and fix up the in "car cinema" for them in the back and looking forward to some pretty empty roads. My last Boxing Day game was the one at Brentford roughly four years ago when I treated some of the French "in laws" to a day out English style and the biggest and broadest of them (Bijou's brother Rene) amused my mates by standing at the bar of the pub quaffing dubonet lemonade (how very,very French  ) and then totally gobsmacked me by chatting to Liam Rosenior (who was sitting next to him at the match) in French for five minutes without getting a reply. He thought that by his dress sense Liam "must be French" (?) - observant, yes but not so observant that he hadn't realised Liam had his ipod in and hadn't heard a word!  I've hardly been to football on a Boxing Day for many, many years in favour of racing at Kempton Park in recent times; but this United side is special and I don't want to miss it........................and the last time I was at a Weymouth match was when I ran a Western League line at the old Rec over a quarter of a century ago!

Also my bet of the day Wroe 1st goal 16/1 or to score anytime 11/2. It would be a nice bonus, but all i really want is 3 massive pts.

We seem to really rely on grinding out games on Woods, Hargreaves and Sills. My concern is Hargreaves' age and the amount of games he's asked to carry us through.
In this congested time of the season, should he not have been given a rest and someone else given the 'can'?
He surely cannot be as effective in the games to come, which may be more important to have his influence!
Weymouth have given us a few frights but there are better teams to come. The squad must be used - what's the point of having them on the books if we don't use them?
