They say you should not change a winning team, but I don't care if you sat in high seats, or watched the game from behind the goal, at least one change needs to be made, in my view.
Carayol had his worst game for us against Weymouth, he reminds me of Ishmael Welsh last season,a player who really impressed in his first few games, but seemed to have lost his way somewhat. Carayol certainly made a real impression when he made the first team, but of late has often tried to be to clever for his own good. He is not beating his man so often and seems to confuse himself with his step overs etc.
I would expect Dsane to start if he has got over his flu, one thing he does better is to get into the box much more than Carayol and Dsane has showed more of an eye for goal, in his last few games.
Carlisle did not have a great first half, often passing the ball to Weymouth players and not finding his own team mates, that said we worked hard for the whole game and improved as the match went on. I would expect a fit Carlisle to always be on Buckles team sheet, so I firmly believe he will start against Kidderminster.
Green worked hard and used his pace well to get in behind the Weymouth defense, he needs to get his shots away much quicker, but he did enough for me, to want to keep him up front with Sills, the two can only get better together, with more games.
The question will be will Hargreaves be able to play two games so soon after each other, you would expect a fit pro player should be able too and while I feel he may well could do with a rest, I would also expect to see him start this game.
Still not at the stage of the season, where it has to be a must win game, but we really need to try and get the result as Burton are on a good rum and we really need to not let the gap between then and us get any bigger.

Only change tomorrow will be D'sane for Carayol. I'd also bring back Danny Stevens for a game , but it won't happen!

I was appalled to see Caryol playing in "mouldies" yesterday, definitely not the studding to wear on a pitch like that; no wonder he couldn't (and he wasn't the only one) stay on his feet. It was a "short screw in stud" surface and so many players these days seem to pay more attention to the appearance of their footwear than the effectiveness of the tools of their trade. Multi coloured , blades, side lacing - it's all bollocks and is responsible for so much injury and loss of balance. I know that if I (as an old school guy) was their manager, I would be in constant conflict over this with so many young players and that would more than likely sow the seeds of "losing the dressing room".

Fully agree with Dave in respect of Carayol but remains to be seen if Dsane will be 100% a mere 48 hours later. If not, maybe a chance for Danny? Hodges is an option but very unlikely to happen. It is possible that Thompson will be playing next week against Blackpool so maybe a match would help both him and Hargreaves. Personally, I would stick with Green up front with Sills as he could really click but would then look to give Benyon a decent run out later on. The important question is and maybe one for weathergull, will it be warmer than the Weymouth match?

rjdgull if you want to know the weather, don't ever ask a weatherman If today is anything to go by, it will be even colder, as its been bitter here today.

At 3pm I walked down to meet Carol from her bus ride home from work, there was a strong and bitter cold wind, it felt like it wanted to snow, cold enough to kill off our palm trees. Mind you I think they were cut down or back, all to do with health and safety, you could not make it up

I failed a late fitness test when I decided the flu bug left me unfit to drive family to Plainmoor at 1.45 Am now back in bed listening to commentary.

Bugger, that's a double they've had off us this season without out playing us......................having a penalty saved in the last minute makes the agony worse and now we've dropped to FIFTH! Pray that Crawley DO lose those four points and that Burton also lose their derby at Mansfield tomorrow. Another beautiful sunset silhouetting Hampstead Village church spire against a pink/golden sky from my window Chris...................just as the sun was going down on today's result.

I Just had that feeling that after the good news of Beavon signing and a bad miss after just 20 seconds that it just wasn't going to be our day - just as it eventually turned out. We were the better side for 89 minutes - the one minute being when we failed to defend a dangerous corner late on and they scored an undeserved goal. Though I say undeserved Kiddie defended as well as I have seen a team defend at Plainmoor and each of their players stuck to their tasks. Thought we were as good as we have been of late without really creating that one clear cut chance after the miss that is, that would surely have seen us win comfortably. Many pluses despite the disappointing result with bags of effort and endeavour without the reward it deserved. Green despite his early miss was a real thorn in their side but his finishing was woeful when he did create an opening and in the first half also scuffed a shot when he should have fed Carlisle across the box for what would have been a free pop at goal. Have to persist with him as he looks a good partner for Sillsy. Hodges and Woods again outstanding, and our mid looked like they would overrun Kiddie at times. Sills other than his pen miss at the end couldn't be faulted. Felt a bit sorry for Danny who is a naturally right sided winger an looks like he has lost much of that cockiness he had when he first arrived still has a good eye for the right pass though not always obvious. Plenty of twists and turns yet to come and we look as good as anyone in the division as far as I am concerned. whether we get the luck and run of the ball is another matter.

Just where do you start to try and write about todays game, I have seen two games in two days and two different performances, but I do know the one I enjoyed the most. I could not believes the words coming out of some fans walking past me at the end of the game. Words such as rubbish game and that we were crap, well I do wonder at times what other fans really watch and also what they expect.
I felt we were not that good on Boxing day, but today we played so much better and I do not need to ask how we did not win today, as I know the reasons why.It was down to simply not taking our chances, some decisions when it came to shooting and some good saves made by the Kidderminster keeper.
We should have been one nil up inside the first min, they kicked off, laid it back and as is normal these days, knocked the ball over the halfway line toward their left winger. We won the ball out there and it was knocked to Sills on the halfway line, who placed the ball between Kiddy's two defenders. Green raced through onto the ball and left the defenders for dead. The keeper was on the edge of his box and it seemed just a case of Green putting the ball past him.
He did the first part but put the ball wide of the left hand post, so early in the game that miss did not seem to important, only you hoped of better things to come.Stevens does what Merse has always said he does well and that is pass the ball well inside to our midfield, but wingers do need to be able to take on fullbacks and get good crosses in. He was not really able to do that, but did beat his man out wide once, came inside and laid a great ball to Carlisle, who was on the edge of the box.
I have said it before that he needs to stop thinking about the ball and just hit it, he did not, he turned when there was no need, but the ball did go out to Sills, who hit a great shot that was well saved.Green was put through again later in the first half, he was being closed down quicker this time by the two chasing defenders, but once again he failed to shoot when he had the best chance to do so.
I feel for Carlisle, he tried and worked hard, but was guilty of giving the ball away too many times during the first half and all I could hear was the fools shouting to get him off. its just a case of things not really coming off for him and he does not need the popside getting on his back again.
We could have been three up by half time and you felt that Kidderminster would have got a good team talk from their manager and come out the better team in the second half. It did not happen and we continued to keep creating chances and not putting them away. A ball laid back to Wroe from Sills who was on the edge of the box, saw Wroe hit It so sweetly and it looked like it was going into the top corner. Sadly if just flew over the crossbar.
Sills hit a fine shot, that the Kidderminster saved well, pushing the ball wide of his goal Sorry but I do not think Green should have been taken off, he did what he did so well against Weymouth and that was to keep running into space behind the Kidderminster defense.
Benyon came on and then the ball was up our end and the one chance they got the went and scored from it. It is always been the case, if you do not put your chances away, the other team will get one or two, they got just one and I'm not going to say they got lucky, they just did what we failed to do and that was put it in the net.
Kidderminster then went on to time waste and the ref did not do too much about it, we were still creating so many chances, but it was not our day and none would go in. I do not know why we won the penalty, I do know Sills hit it tamely to the left of the keeper, who dived the right way and made the save. That summed up our whole game really.
I still enjoyed the game, proud of the work our players put into the game to try and win it, we have to now move on to the next two big games and not lose heart, I'm sure the team won't be doing that.
