I remember when Markl Loram was out for a month ! Talking of Mark he was at today's game with another great Plainmoor favorite Tom Kelly.

Ellis was the answer scoring just 2 minutes after the restart from a Nicholson corner. I certainly took me by surprise as I had popped to the toilet and missed the goal ! well why don´t you go at half time?

Great to see the pics of Lors and "Ned" on the site tonight.....................not having seen someone for so long as in Lors case; it's always fascinating to see how they look these days. Having taken that bouquet Dave, please take this brickbat in the right spirit...................it seems like every game now we have an endless succession of "nothing" pics: the pitch through the window looks remarkably like it did last time and the time before that for that matter and the players warming up, waving to their mums and dads, coming out for the game, even the stupid ref and his mates, and the teams shaking hands prior to kick off in about three different modes all look just the same as all the other ones you have posted. You can take some great photos Dave as all your ones of the Westcountry prove, but in God's name learn to edit your obsessiveness of all this trivia and return to quality over quantity!Remember, this plea is made in the interests of the site and all the people who enjoy it.....................I have some pretty interesting stuff on my digital camera (stuff that would get this site shut down) but it's not making it's way onto the internet!

The crap written on the O/S merely treats supporters as idiots. I suppose some supercillious big 'ed will be suing them for libel then....................put your money where your mouth is if you wish to take that line!

To have increased the gap with Grimsby by another 3 points with games running-out is brilliant. I wish I had made it down there today, after all the recent poor results it sounded like a decent second half performance with some encouraging performances. I'm also very pleased for Nicholson - who seems to have waited patiently in the background for his chance (one assumes that's the case - Dsane and Woods were booted-out when it came to the end of their Plainoor careers!). Given that the only other player in the squad who can reliably deliver a set-piece is Eunan O'Kane, it is great that he contributed today with two set-pieces that resulted in goals - hopefully he can do the same over the rest of the season.
I don't believe that the form of Shrewsbury made them a soft touch - quite the opposite, they'll have been desperate to push-on towards a play-off spot because they know that one of the highest paid Shrewsbury squads in their history will surely bring the axe down on a lot of them in the summer should they fail.
From having "only two wins in fifteen" (or something like that) we can now again say "only two defeats in nine" or "three wins in seven". I guess that shows really that the only thing that matters is the table at the end of the season. It's looking much better than it was last week, but there is still much hard work to do before we can put this worrying season to bed.
I don't think that many will expect us to get a result at Northampton on Monday - but I think that the match today will give the players a bit of extra belief. I can't recall us coming from behind to win on any other occaisions in the league this season (we did against Cheltenham in the FA Cup though I think?). I think that it shows a bit of character in the team.

You're not admitting to.................... no I didn't think you were, but if you did happen to be in there together perhaps that's where Dave and his candid camera should have been! Sorry that none of us three are commenting on the match though Dave!

Nice post Enzo. Did you mean to put the second to last paragraph in it? It was sounding so positive eh!! Carayol ran them ragged and they couldn't cope - Think what an on-song Thomson would have done had they been working in tandem. I do find it very frustrating that we have found and signed a player who is very effective for this level - and then watch as his performances and attitude decline the longer he stays with us. The crap written on the O/S merely treats supporters as idiots. I remember when Markl Loram was out for a month with the dreaded Brixham flu according to the official line. That wasn't true either! It was sounding very positive! I do take your point about Jake Thomson. He's a very exciting talent and one day I'd love to see him and young Mustapha fly down our wings in tandem but I've heard so many question marks about his attitude and his application to his job that I'd be loathe to stick him in the side, especially if you wanted him to carry out instructions. From what I've been told about JT is that PB sent him back to Southampton and Alan Pardew sent him back to us to carry on his learning process with a flea in his ear. He'll learn more about life as a footballer whilst with us in a struggling Division 4 side than playing nothing games for Soton Reserves with his mates telling him how good he is. With Southampton on an upward trajectory he's probably going to find that he'll need to find another club sooner rather than later. So young Jake is going to have to Buck up his ideas otherwise he'll end up at Eastleigh or Havant and Waterlooville. It seems like the loan spell at Kettering hasn't done Muzzy any harm. He's always been pacey and skillful but he absolutely breezed past players today and had that end product. If he can add consistency then we'll have a hell of a player. Good for him.

Carayol has always had ability. He is a player who seems to have fallen foul of the Buckle style of management ie if you are disliked you don't get in the team. I am not so sure that the loan spell at Kettering can be credited for the upturn in his fortunes, as he was injured for most of his time there and returned to us, unfit and completely out of favour with the manager. I can tell you he was so disillusioned with life at Plainmoor that he was desperate to get away at the end of the January deadline. Full credit to him then that he has managed to fight his way back into the team and it is great to hear that he had such a good game today. I am not so sure that he will sign a new contract for next year. In fact those other "out of favour" players Nicholson and Ellis seemed to be major contributors to our victory today.

Careful Chris, have you not read - fans are not allowed to listen to rumours about attitude and application....let alone write them on a forum. We must swallow all that comes from the O/S - or put our money where our mouth is and take out legal action against the club? ?? How is he going to find another club when he is banished from our squad. Yep, totally agree, Muzzy looks a dangerous player now and has come on leaps and bounds. Still has a long way to go, but he is an exciting prospect - you sum it up perfectly with the word "breeze". He went past players as if they were not there today. Great to watch. The difference with Muzzy is that he is our player - we have an interest in his development. If Buckle wants rid of Thomson then get rid...........lets not try and pretend that we have some kind of youth masterplan in action. If we have an interest in Thomson for next year what makes us think his attitude will be any different? Just seen our second goal - was it not Benyon's? I might sue the club!

Bloody fantastic!!! Listening to the game on yahoo was a nervy experience last night. It sounded as tho we were all over them in the first 20 only for them to go and score! I can tell you that my neighbours were treated to a crash course in english cursing at half time. After 2 mins of the 2nd half they were woken by yells of "get in, ellis you beauty" and again for Rendells goal. At the final whistle it was more relief that swept over me than elation.
Thank god grimsby are more shit than we are. Darlo could do us a favour in their current form. Can't see us picking up any more points til the macc game, so let's hope i'm wrong.
