I thought Greavsie played well for us prior to his transfer. He (IMO) gave us that extra bite in midfield, leadership and his ability to bring the best out of Nicky Wroe, who has been a shadow of his former self since Greavsie left.
As for Mo Camera, what a piece of shrewd business that was!!

Well Greavsie's been a disastrous signing for Oxford and his arrival has coincided with their annual slide down the table. All that about "contracts and security" ? Well he's only on a deal to the end of this season there, so really he would have been just as well off (without all the living out of a suitcase and driving his car into the ground) staying put and putting in his experience on the training ground and in the odd cameo appearance for us. So if Oxford were to get up into the Football League, do you reckon they would contract him for next season? With respect to him, I can't see it myself and if they fail to make it through the play offs, they'll more than likely not offer him anything either. More than llikely to end up at Newport County with Toddy if you want a tip.

He wasn't getting close enough to "bite" this season and we've never really replaced him. Besides I think Nicky Wroe has been poor all season with or without Hargreaves or a suitable replacement.

Talking of players not realising their potential................. Matt Green managed to pick up two yellow cards in the first twenty minutes of Oxford United's 2-1 defeat at lowly Hayes & Yeading on Good Friday ( and thus concede a double to the team that lost their last away game 8-0 at Luton!) needless to say Chris Hargreaves was too old or knackered to make the team once again................... exactly how are we supposed to be missing him? A comment made with all the ignorance and arrogance of one who has seen us play how many times since CH departed? For the umpteenth time..........few would quibble that Hargreaves was struggling (although less so than many have struggled this season) and many would have welcomed a replacement. We didn't get one and as such we have missed CH or a CH type player. I totally disagree with Chris Hayes on this issue and think the burden on Wroe is now massive - and is telling. But whilst I disagree, I can respect his view, because he has seen the games. Have you? Or have you just found another issue to carry out a vendetta? You have issues buddy and need help. At least this has stopped you going "wibble" about "another site" for a day or so. We all try our best, but care in the community can only take you so far - we are not trained to help people who suffer the way you clearly do. Move on and get help!

.......In the same way as Branston is doing to help out Mark Ellis. Hargreaves would help out Nicky Wroe ( our captain !!!! ) because he has been abysmal with out the guidance of CH. Sorry but thats my view after watching every game at Plainmoor. I have not seen us away this season what with other financial commitments but certainly Nicky Wroe is looking a shadow of the player we have seen previously.
Experience is what this team lacks .....
CH has it in abundance and dare I say it more than our "manager" !!
......and in his last game for us he set up both our goals but lets face it he is useless compared to the midfield maestro that is Tyrone Thompson !!

For the umpteenth time.......... few would quibble that Hargreaves was struggling (although less so than many have struggled this season) and many would have welcomed a replacement. We didn't get one and as such we have missed CH or a CH type player. He was already out of our regular starting lineup and wanted out, turned down the offer from the club that would have gone some way towards justifying what HE was looking for as regards security for another contract; now what are the club supposed to do? Pander to his personal requirements at the expense of having the leeway to bring in and develope someone for the future (and no mean performer for the present) like Eunane O'Kane. Use the wages saved on a much needed and resilient defender like Guy Branston? Blow the Youth Budget out of the water to pay him more than any other employee already qualified to work in a field which he merely aspired to? Yes, it would have been prefereable to have replaced like for like; but Dean Keates and his agent evidentally decided to say one thing to our club and also to Wycombe Wanderers (not unusual in this day and age) and we lost out. The manager can't hang around trying to appease an out of the team player who choses to go about his business in a different way than say Kevin Nicholson. His first priority is to the Football Club, the team and the present day and then the future.................none of which Hargreaves was then figuring in nor likely to much in the future as he was away talking to Chris Wilder about a deal at The Kassam. Good luck to him and thanks for the immense contribution and effort in non league football, but as far as League football goes; well he dropped out of it years ago for a very good reason and that reason wasn't about to go into some miraculous reverse gear. As far as your continued insult throwing and tantrums, you are just making a twart of yourself....................a supercillious and condescending type who (although Dave might not immediately recognise it) brings to the table the lack of respect and attempts to belittle people that he does not like and claims he will eradiacte from this site

The other month we had Dave on here relating to how depressed Mark Ellis felt and how he felt he was worthy of a starting place in the squad if not team. Then Ellis comes in and justified that train of thought with some great performances, before later committing the sort of howlers that cost him his place in the first place and losing his place again. Dave had good reason to post that because he knows the person that spoke to Mark about exactly that topic and yes he was frustrated and depressed because he wasn`t selected, but an up and coming young player like that should feel these things and have a real appitite to want to play every game and if he didn`t feel upset or left out then I would be asking questions about his desire and passion! Stop assuming things you know nothing about!

No tantrum from me, and I think we broadly agree with each other about the value of CH - What I don't understand is why you keep bringing it up and undermining the guy. Why make it so personal? He has moved on........can you? I change my debating style according to the person I am debating with - read over many of your posts and you may see that you invite this kind of response (it does tend to follow you around from a few posters). Surely, it would be highly contradictory for you to call for the admin people to do anything about it?

I'm not calling for "Admin" to do anything.......................that's not my style, I was referring to what Dave repeatedly posts. It's not for you to set the parameters of debate, are you claiming now that once out of the door former players cannot be commented on? If Barty or Timbo bring up our past do you tell them to "move on"? Parts of the forum you do not deem relevant are not compulsory to take part in nor is it necessary for you to insult others for having a view that you do not approve of. I am sure there are many on here who keepe an eye on how the fortunes of Todd, Sills and Greavsie are doing without being told to "move on"

Exactly WHAT is the problem this time, what have I "assumed that I know nothing about" ?

I'm unable to say anything right now, but there is something sinister going on and aimed at our forum, (not from any other forum) Can I please ask for your full support on here for the TFF and that you please just stick to making the good posts etc we are known for. I would also please ask you do not comment on this post.

That's the one, the last edition was particularly fine with a couple of over-ripe melons fairly oozing out over the barrow edge on the page three 'special'...
