This game is going to be a big test of the progress the team is making, with Shrewsbury currently sitting in a play-off place, this does look like its going to a game the team will have to be at its very best.
No time for our players to stand around patting themselves on the back for winning the last two games as we really do need to try and get the three points on offer. The only change I can see is Poke coming back in gaol for us and I hope Bucks sticks to the same formation and tactics.
We did enjoy a lot of space in the second half against Cheltenham, that will not be the case in this game and we need the likes of Wroe to be at his best and also have is best passing boots on.
If it is the case Bevan is still suffering from an injury, then if he does need an operation to get it sorted, let’s get on with it as we don’t know for sure if Poke will be here in the New Year.
I’m sure as always we will get some good match reports from those who do go to the game, if you are going and have never done a match report before, then I hope you will use this game to make your first report on the TFF. Match reports helps those who only hear the game on the radio, to get a getter feeling how the game really went.
I’ll stick my neck out and say its going to be three wins out of three, I’m positive and if the players feel as positive as they should after winning the last two games, then we will be moving up the table a bit.

It sounds as if Nicky Wroe might be out at the weekend, judging by Chris Hargreaves' ps comment on his blog.

Agreed a straight swap with Thompson would be logical.
Another scenario, Nico gets swine flu today & you are the boss.
Saturdays team please?

I think we know how he struggled out there and as much as I would like to see the box to box running of Mansell back in midfield, he is the only player who can play at right back. Mind you I think Carlisle could do a job at right back, but with Thomson here I would rather see Carlisle on the left wing to help give better cover for Nico. So its a straight swap Thompson for Wroe, or play Rendell in the hole instead behind Sills and Benyon.

Starting to worry about this one going ahead tomorrow considering the weather. Esp. as it's one of the few I've been able to attend thus far this season.

Well its been chucking it down in West London as well. It's either tomorrow or Port Vale on Tuesday for me. I can't really justify doing both. Perhaps the weather might make up my mind for me.

If it helps, the match itself will probably be dry and the Port Vale match is a week on Tuesday. No idea on the state of the pitch but the wind may help dry it out. :- The Shrewsbury website is predicting a 3 - 1 win and they are fairly confident about playing us at home. I suspect that we will be a tougher nut to crack than they think. Probably the same team as last week excepting the goalkeeper.

Not to sure about the weather up there, but if the game was at home I would be not surprised if it was called off. The rain we have had over the last few day has been coming down in bucket loads and this morning its blowing a gale.
Should the game be called off lets hope the decision is made very early to our fans do not have any long wasted journeys.

Right I'll go today in that case!
