So another draw and out of the play offs. However, still in there and just need a final home win.

Slipped out of the Play Off places, but NOT by much it's still in our hand's with two games to go.

...score 3 away from home and don't win. Inexcusable  That was horrible to listen to. We should have won the last 3 with a great chance of autos.....now we sit outside the play offs and HAVE to beat Chesterfield (who are still going for the title). As well as we've played this season.......you have to start to question our bottle i'm afraid. |

Harboursidegull - we can still make the playoffs, but have two tough games coming up.
With Bury beating Chesterfield, let's see what reaction that provokes in the team we play next Friday.
Hopefully when we play Rotherham they will be unable to reach playoffs.
Unfortunately, it's not 'in our hands' because if the key teams above us all win their two games, then we don't make the playoffs...

Scored as the final whistle went , bloody typical. To turn an early two goal into 3-2 down is also a bit predictable and then to have almost won it at the death. Credit to the players but somehow I think we are going to miss out and in all honesty its not in our own hands, if our competitors win ther last two matches we will stay outside of the p/offs. Will we defeat Chesterfield who now desperately need victory to secure the championship? - a worse case scenario I couldnt have imagined. Away to Rotherham who may need the victory to creep in can we win on therir patch? Its a tough call, we needed that three points today and now need at least four from our last two games . Not impossible I know but if I were a betting man.... One ray of hope and that is appeal the one point deduction as I bet it will be s ingle point that sees us out of it!! Bah! Today of all days we forgot how to defend. Looks like Rotherham will be out of it after todays results and we were the only side not to the business against , arguablly the weakest oposition. |
