typical typical tufc,i mentioned previously that this game gave me nagging doubts, and so it proved sadly, the reports pretty much sum up my thoughts mostly.Defensively we were cack, infact apart from branston whom i thought put in another mom performance,we just didnt do the basics in defence at all.2 nil up we should of done a professional job and closed them down, but oh no the patting the ball around at the back crept back in,all fine and dandy if you retain the ball, but we just gave it away at every opportunity, very disappointing against an average burton side, containing an ageing darren moore, who was there for the taking but hardly tested.Bevan had a mare, mansell played the worst i have ever seen, and robinson was right off colour, zebroski did his usual hardworking shift and tomlin looked lively. The only plus in my mind is that now the pressure is off,we are outside the play offs and may get back too winning ways, maybe somebody above will wilt under the pressure.Still twists and turns to go,but this really was another golden opportunity spurned by us,our travelling support was brilliant today, never stopped backing the team and gave it all, sadly this was not repaid on the pitch, utterly utterly disappointing, but onward we march, next up the small matter of chesterfield,we dont like doing it the easy way do we?

Blown it bigstyle. 2-0 up against a central defence with a combined age of around 340. Al we had to do was soak it up and pick them off for a piss easy three points. Enter Captain Cock up Beavon who lets in another sitter. As Jm says we could have easily won the last three games and been sitting pretty - I think the luck went against us somewhat in the two home games particularly with that goal being chalked off in the Port Vale game, but not today. How many times have we failed to win from a winning position? We now face missing out to the mighty Stevenage who are in fact totaly crap. Although I could not see us making the play offs it is now going to be galling to miss out. Console myself with the fact that with Stanley and now Murray missing squad wise we would not have had enough to succeed. Alunmeerkat, if you can't bother to post correctly and pronounce the name of our goalkeeper correctly then please shut up. Why bother if you could not see us making the play offs anyway... I'm glad the management and the players aren't that negative...

cant be bothered for long report
bevan not a good game, couldve / shouldve saved first goal, got a hand to it, and second goal couldve come out, although defence should not have made him like that
Nico got beaten on wing too easially
Branno played well ish, good attacking with head, but defence not as good, did not deserve to be booked was an amazing tackle
zebs played well at start but after we went down he was lazy and would not get on side very quickly
as for the disalowwed goal, stevens and LRT shouldve gotten the ball into the box quicker, and the whistle had gone but i doubt the keeper wouldve saved it as he was crap all game
Billy great goal cant wait for highlights

I don't know why we're really that surprised Buckle is doing his best to feck it up again. It's his normal MO. Kee on the wing....hmmm how does that work again? Taking off the best left foot delivery and assist in the division when you need it the most.....hmmm must be some logic in there somewhere. Taking off a skillful forward who can change the game in a second for a halfpint hot tho mostly cold performer.......hmmm well maybe if I was desparate.

Another draw, things start to get a bit edgy and then the tw@t brigade surface again like a turd in swimming pool. Yawn.
Quotes such as "I don't know why we're really that surprised Buckle is doing his best to feck it up again." and "enter Captain Cock up Beavon who lets in another sitter" really annoy me.
Can we not just be proud of the job the boys and the manager have done this season considering the constraints we've been under? But no, we get moronic comments instead. Marvellous. Well done chaps. The brain cell has had a full work out.

the o/s mentions the injustice of a penalty appeal regarding zebroski having his shirt pulled in the area,it did happen but was ignored by the ref, zebs does have a habit of going down to easily maybe the ref took it on himself to deny a blatant foul?

Chris - Beavis was floundering around his six yard box in the Wycombe game and appeared to be the only chance that we might concede. He appeared to carry that form into yesterday's game and let two in. What I cannot understand is that why people cannot be allowed to tell the truth ie we have blown it. Why do we have to be "proud" of that. We have done reasonably well but its going to be galling to miss out when we were in such a strong position. Gospel hole - read loyalgull's report of the game. We didn't turn up - full stop. Do you think the likes of Accrington and Stevenage have better players than us - they don't!

Chris - I would just like to thank the manager for playing Kee on the right wing, continually putting on Danny Stevens who seems to have regressed into a park player. Freezing out Mark Ellis and playing Lathrope and Ostler who would not make a decent player between them. So don't say I am not grateful.

Probably fairer to say that teams on a much bigger budget like Port Vale and Rotherham have "blown it." For Torquay, it is very much game still on and I've no idea whether we will make the play offs or not but that's why I go to watch. In 11 days time you will either be able to say told you so or have egg on your face. Our recent form (10 unbeaten) has certainly raised hopes and expectations but go back to the beginning of the season and most people would have been ecstatic at eighth place but this becomes harder to take when you were 5th! I'm sure a lot of former league teams still in the conference would love to come have Buckle feck it up for them as his record speaks for itself!

Where do I say we played well or deserved more then the point we collected? All I ask is to put a little bit more effort in your posts and leave the insults away. You could have posted the above in your earlier post. A normal written sentence and one I tend to agree with if we fail to reach the play-offs. We can act as normal people you know, I could easily call you names but that would be childish and unnecessary.
