Recent results have shown that it is not easy playing teams at the foot of the table and fighting for their league lives with Burton being a case in point having taken 7 points from the last three games. In fact, it is just as tight near the bottom with Burton jumping up to 17th above recent play off contenders Cheltenham! Of course, it has been a hard slog for Burton with all those games recently having only caught up everyone else with a midweek match last Tuesday. After playing away to Aldershot on a hot afternoon they also have had a day's less recovery than Torquay but whether this makes a difference remains to be seen in this day and age. I think the scrappy 1-0 win at Plainmoor recently indicates that it will be a tough match that both teams will be looking for the win which will make the difference at either end of the table. I would think that Torquay will start with the same line up from Friday and surely Burton will not survive a similar onslaught to that match? As has been mentioned, with the other top teams playing each other, a win here and then at Chesterfield would probably guarantee us a play off place and maybe even a very slim chance of a top three finish going into the last match.

The mother-in-law is coming to stay today for three days! I hadn't intended to go to Burton...I think I will now! I'll leave early and come back late!

Nearly time to take a sharp intake of breath and hold it until the final whistle. Feels a bit like that with a win taking the presure off a wee bit and defeat a minor disaster. Remember a cocky Rochdale at home last season with us in a smnlilar position to Burton and starting to pick up some results - we thrashed then 5-0 if I recall. Cant see us making that sort of mistake but even the best can balls it up - just look at Arsenal!

First goal sounded like lady luck was smiling on us for once! Second goal sounded like a great passing move, one to watch later!
